Summer 2007

We had a great adventure traveling halfway across the country and back as vintage vacationers!  We only encountered a few small issues along the way (brake issues in Illinois, broken fan belt in Kansas) . . . nothing new when you're used to maintaining vintage vehicles.  We really traveled "as they did in the old days" ---- sans air conditioning in the station wagon and the trailer.  We told ourselves that we would check into a hotel when the heat became too unbearable, but once we lasted half a week in Perry, Georgia at the end of June, we became determined to make it an all-Airstream trip.  Mission accomplished!  We met some amazing, interesting people along the way.  Best advice received: Drive slow, stop often, and take lots of pictures.
