Summer 2008
Another adventure is about to begin. Will gutted this trailer in February and replaced and retiled the floor and repainted the bathroom. Uncle Al helped refinish and re-create most of the cabinetry, and Lori's dad helped with the galley countertop. Suzi in Ault, Colorado did a great job on the upholstery and drapes. Master Polisher Brian Casson helped tremendously in getting the exterior shiny and ready to go. See you on down the road!
The 1967 Airstream Safari *as found* in Fort Collins, Colorado. It looked good when we checked it out before purchasing it. Discovered lots of disgusting surprises when we got it home and started doing the "deep cleaning." Who knew that squirrels and rats would cohabitate in the belly pan of an Airstream?
UPDATE: OK, so things didn't go exactly as we planned, and we ended up taking our 1975 31' Airstream Sovereign towed by our 1999 Ford. The Safari should be done in time for the 2008 RMVAC Rally in Salida, Colorado in August. For the time being, here is where we are in Bozeman, Montana....
We participated in the Vintage Airstream Parade---there were 83 Vintage Airstreams!
Here is the Vintage Area of "Silver City:"
